Pocket Rocket 3-Inch Getting Started Guide
A sub-249g-class 3-inch package with DJI Goggles N3, RadioMaster Pocket Crush, DJI O4 Pro, 2.4GHz ELRS and GPS.
Power and equipment
4S only, approximately 550–1100mAh. Verify the correct connector and secure both main and balance leads.
RadioMaster Pocket Crush ELRS, configured and paired.
DJI Goggles N3 paired to the DJI O4 Pro with OSD checked.
Configured for GPS features, but Rescue must be personally verified and safely tested.
Normal routine
POWER ON: RADIO → GOGGLES → QUAD
- ARM off and throttle down.
- Boot the Pocket; confirm the expected control profile.
- Power Goggles N3 using DJI's normal press, then press-and-hold sequence.
- Place the quad level, secure the 4S pack, connect power and leave it still.
- Verify ELRS, O4 video, OSD and battery voltage.
POWER OFF: DISARM → UNPLUG QUAD → GOGGLES OFF → RADIO OFF
PROPS-IN and controls
This build is configured props-in. With props removed, verify FC orientation, roll, pitch, yaw, throttle, ARM, mode ranges and failsafe. Reinstall each correct prop on the matching CW/CCW motor and confirm it produces downward thrust.
ELRS rebind—only if needed
Do not rebind a working link. If required, use the common three-power-cycle method: two complete power cycles, then leave the receiver powered on the third. Select Bind from the ExpressLRS Lua script, then verify all channels and telemetry with props off.
First flight
- 4S only; healthy battery strapped tightly
- Props-in orientation correct
- Radio link, O4 video, OSD and switches verified
- GPS lock acquired when using GPS features
- Gentle takeoff into a low hover in a large open area
- Land immediately if control, sound, video or vibration is unexpected
