4S only

Do not assume a pack is appropriate because the connector fits. Inspect cell count, physical condition and fit. Secure the pack and keep the balance lead away from props.

Prop choices

2-blade

More docile, efficient and relaxed for cruising and learning the aircraft.

4036 tri-blade

More grip and authority for punch-outs, rolls, flips and light freestyle.

Verify the aircraft's configured direction. Do not guess props-in or props-out. With props removed, verify motor rotation; then match every CW/CCW prop and confirm downward thrust.

GPS, beeper and care

GPS is useful, not magic. Configure and safely test Rescue before depending on it. Learn the FlyFish beeper switch before the quad disappears in grass. After every flight inspect props, motors, hardware, antennas, GPS, camera, TPU, battery, XT60 and visible wiring.
