READ BEFORE YOUR FIRST FLIGHT — THIS IS REAL MANUAL FPV
Your package has been built, configured and tested as a system. The Boxer Crush is bound to the RadioMaster RP1 ELRS receiver, and the DJI Goggles N3 are paired with the DJI O4 Pro. Batteries and a LiPo charger are not included.
What You Need
6S LiPo battery with XT60 connector. Recommended range: 750–1500mAh.
A proper balance charger suitable for 6S LiPo batteries.
A large, legal, open flying area away from people, pets, vehicles and buildings.
Simulator practice before flying Acro/manual FPV. The included Boxer is an excellent simulator controller.
Battery choices: 750–850mAh: light/agile; 1000–1100mAh: all-around; 1300–1500mAh: more flight time but heavier handling.
6S IS SERIOUS POWER. Small drone does NOT mean beginner-safe.
Before Every Power-Up
ARM switch OFF and throttle fully down.
Inspect frame, motors, propellers, prop nuts, antennas, GPS, battery lead and battery straps.
Never work on motors or use Betaflight's Motors tab with props installed.
Secure the LiPo before connecting the XT60.
Keep the quad level and still for a few seconds after connecting power.
Startup Sequence
RADIO → GOGGLES → QUAD
Confirm ARM is OFF and throttle fully down. Power the RadioMaster Boxer Crush, confirm the correct model and let EdgeTX boot.
Power the DJI Goggles N3 and allow them to boot completely. They are already paired to the DJI O4 Pro in this package.
Power the Boxing Leprechaun LAST. Place it level, strap the 6S securely, connect XT60, listen for ESC tones, leave it still while the FC initializes, then verify live DJI video/OSD and ELRS link before arming.
GPS Before Flight
The BZ-181 GPS needs a clear view of the sky. First lock of the day may take longer.
Wait for adequate satellites before relying on GPS features.
GPS Rescue is NOT DJI Return-to-Home. Verify home point, rescue settings, failsafe behavior and satellite lock yourself before relying on it.
Shutdown
DISARM → UNPLUG QUAD → GOGGLES OFF → RADIO OFF
If video or radio link is missing, do not arm. Unplug the quad and repeat the startup sequence. Check battery connection, antennas, radio model and goggles device selection. Avoid random firmware updates, rebinding or Betaflight changes if the package was previously working.
Props Out Configuration
THIS QUAD IS SET UP AS PROPS OUT
Props Out means the FRONT propellers rotate outward, away from the centerline/camera. The rear motors form the matching opposite pair. Correct motor direction AND the correct propeller on each motor are both required.
Do not guess prop direction from color, printing or appearance.
The leading/high edge of the blade must meet the air first in the direction the motor rotates.
A correctly installed prop pushes air DOWN and produces upward thrust.
A wrong prop can make the quad flip immediately on takeoff.
After changing props, check all four before plugging in a battery.
Tighten prop nuts securely and inspect them after crashes.
WRONG PROP + RIGHT MOTOR = STILL WRONG. CHECK ALL FOUR.
Betaflight / Motor Checks — Props Removed
Roll right, pitch forward and yaw right should indicate the matching direction.
ARM and flight-mode switches should activate expected modes.
Throttle should move smoothly and correctly.
REMOVE ALL PROPELLERS BEFORE USING THE BETAFLIGHT MOTORS TAB.
Verify motor numbering and rotation only with props removed.
Do not change motor direction just because an online diagram differs; this build is intentionally Props Out.
The DJI system provides the digital video link; it does not make this fly like a DJI Mini or Avata. In Acro/manual mode, you are the flight computer. Practice arming, disarming, takeoff, turns, altitude control, recovery and landing in a simulator first.
☐ Props undamaged, correct for Props Out and prop nuts tight.
☐ No loose wires, straps or grass near propellers.
☐ Radio link confirmed and correct model selected.
☐ DJI O4 live video and OSD confirmed.
☐ GPS satellites acquired; home/rescue status understood.
☐ Correct flight mode selected.
☐ People, pets, vehicles and obstacles well clear.
First Hover
Use a large open area and stand behind the quad.
Arm only when completely clear.
Lift into a clean, low hover rather than dragging across the ground.
Listen and feel for unusual vibration, oscillation or motor noise.
Make gentle inputs. This 3.5-inch 6S quad has much more power than its size suggests.
Land and DISARM immediately if anything seems wrong.
Unplug the battery before approaching or handling the aircraft.
After Every Flight
Inspect props, arms, motor bells, hardware, antennas, GPS and TPU after hard landings/crashes.
Check motors for abnormal heat.
Inspect LiPo for swelling, dents or damage; let it cool before charging.
Storage-charge LiPos that will not be used soon.
FPV aircraft require maintenance. Props break, hardware loosens and settings can change.
GPS / Failsafe Reminder
Even if GPS Rescue/failsafe was configured before shipment, you are responsible for verifying it.
Do not intentionally test Rescue for the first time over trees, buildings, water or people.
Firmware or configuration changes can alter previously working behavior.

THE BEST FIRST FLIGHT IS BORING: SHORT HOVER, GENTLE TURNS, SAFE LANDING.
